Valorat Level Design - Shroud
A downloadable game for Windows
This project is a final group project in which we tested our knowledge in Level Design and Unreal Engine.
The main focus was to create a new and interesting map for the game Valorant, a tactical team-based shooter published by Riot Games. We wanted to make a map for this game due to its complexity where many parameters have to be taken into account, thus proving more valuable our work and dedication.
Shroud is a map of two zones, A and B, with great attention to Medium, being the control of Medium a great advantage. We have decided to play a lot with the heights in this map as we believe it is something certainly innovative and that other maps do not do so often. We also added new elements that invite you to create new strategies, such as glass floors or trampolines.
The project consists of:
- A first phase of research, where we determine all the values necessary for the development of the map.
- Secondly the realization of the first sketches and explorations of the map.
- Then a Size Proff of the measures that we were taking in the Sketches.
- Once all the measurements were taken we made a final Layout of the map with all the elements and the legend.
- Finally we made the Blockout of the level in Unreal Engine 5.
